My name is Karen Gómez, and I am excited to announce a project I have been working on for over a year. It has taken fear, uncertainty, doubt, success, self-perseverance, and a lot of trust and confidence to turn my secret passion into a manifested reality. I admit it was very hard for me to finally put myself first and invest in my desires, dreams, and nostalgic love stories.
After seven years working as both an architectural designer and in my family’s floral boutique, I knew I brought something distinct to the table:
the technical discipline, nuanced understanding of scale, and expert approach to composition that is so often missing from today’s Pinterest-plucked bouquets.
As beautiful and corny as this sounds, the truth is, flowers have saved me and continue to do so. I feel most like myself when I am flora-ling. Flowers are my meditation and a way for me to unwind and relax. While designing I listen to nostalgic tunes and remember each of my couples love stories. I capture my couples’ personalities and always find meaningful ways to incorporate a little bit of history in each of my intentional floral creations.
My brand goal is simple:
“Inspire an appreciation towards the different phases of flowers and bridge generations through my preserved floral masterpieces.”
I welcome you to follow my floral journey as I continue to discover myself, pieces of history, and breathe a new life into the way the wedding world looks at bridal bouquets. I want to help people understand and appreciate every phase of a flower’s life. I want to build and preserve bouquets, in the same manner an architect designs a building: with unparalleled intention.
I want to thank all my close friends and family who have pushed me never to stop believing in myself and for all the emotional support in my life. Thank you to my talented team Ashley Ferreira & Gillian Griffith, who held my hand during this beautiful brand creation. The love I have for each of you is 1 in a million, and I am so humbled to know without you, this probably would be one of those “maybe next year” type of dreams.
